After opening my lovely gifts yesterday, I unwrapped this beauty, an antique brooch. I had been longing for one since I saw the Lanvin ss11 collection dress with the insect detail around the neck. I thought a brooch such as this would look great on my black cape. Thank you Santa and merry christmas everyone!

Feelin' festive

Relentless snowfall over London made me make a rapid decision to leave and get home to the countryside as soon as possible! Despite reaching my destination I had to abandon my car and trudge home in the thick snow...although the conditions prevent last minute panic-buying and day-to-day christmassy errands from happening, it has made me feel extremely festive. Therefore it only felt right that I don my most festive dress, a thick pair of tights and my wedges to stomp around in!

Velvet dream!

I have always loved texture and when buying/looking at clothes I always have a little stroke! I have therefore been on the look out for a few velvet pieces. I think it will be big over christmas and looks lovely in all colours, imagine my delight when i stumbled across this charity shop find- £3.50 from The Children's Society! The lining of the top is brown, so with the sleeves rolled up the colour is on trend with the 70's vibe we are seeing at the moment.

I would highly recommend flicking through the rails of EVERY charity shop to uncover some bargains to integrate with other key pieces!!

Busy Bee

I have been so busy with a Lookbook project that I haven't much time (or damn internet!) to blog about the day to day happenings and purchases in my life! My Lookbook done and handed in I have been in contact with Fred Butler- jewelry designer, prop maker and all round 3D wizz! I managed to have a trial day with her to start interning at her studio and worked on some exciting projects for magazines.

Whilst spending the day there i got to meet Craig Lawrence who shares a studio with Fred, his skills on a knitting machine are mind-boggling! I decided to refresh my memory (and yours) to his ss'11 knitwear collection which is truly breath taking.. check out the video below....

Pilgrim

I apologise for the lack of posts over the last few weeks, however managed to get a little signal to post some treats that I bought recently..I decided to give my wardrobe a little injection of black...(gothic!)...bought some rather lovely vintage velvet shorts and this long sleeved black wool dress and opted for a rounded white shirt to go underneath it. Feeling like I belong in sister act!
